Very capable 3 in 1 soldering station and a clear step up from entry-level gear. My only minor complaint is that the unit is a bit heavier than expected, but that also makes it feel stable on the bench while using the hot air handpiece.
I was choosing between this and an ATTEN setup, but the integrated power supply sold it for me. For a small workshop, having a solder and hot air station plus a bench voltage output in one unit saves both money and a surprising amount of desk space.
Used it this week for replacing a USB-C charging port and reworking a router board. The hot air side is excellent and the soldering iron is precise enough for fine pads. I would have liked one extra nozzle in the box, but performance-wise it has been spot on.
How to Use
- Place the station on a stable, heat-resistant workbench with adequate ventilation.
- Connect the supplied UK plug to mains power and switch on the unit.
- Select the soldering iron or hot air function and set the required temperature using the digital controls.
- For SMD removal, fit the appropriate hot air nozzle, apply flux and heat the component evenly before lifting with suitable tweezers.
- For soldering, tin the iron tip, set the correct working temperature and complete the joint with appropriate solder.
- If bench testing is required, set the DC output between 0 and 15V and confirm voltage on the built-in display before connecting your low-voltage device.
- Use the 5V USB output only with compatible accessories or supported charging tasks.
- After use, return the handpieces to their holders, allow the unit to cool fully and switch off at the mains.
